GENERAL POLICIES

Lunch & Snacks: Students bring their own lunch, including drink, in a lunch box with their name on it. School provides morning and afternoon snacks.

Birthdays: on your child’s birthday, you may send cupcakes and drinks or other “goodies” for a celebration with classmates.

Nap Time: New students 1 and older may purchase their mat at a cost of $30.00. Parents may also send a small blanket and crib sheet with their child’s name on it.

Dress: Comfortable, washable play clothes should be worn with sneakers or other tie shoes suitable for playing and climbing.

Change of Clothing: Every child is required to have at least one change of clothing in his/her cubby at all times. Even with older children, accidents can happen.

Personal Belongings: All lunch boxes, jackets, sweaters, blankets, etc. should bear your child’s name.

No toys at school: Please do not allow your child to bring toys to school. We know this is sometimes difficult, but your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Parents’ Visits: Parents are welcome to visit any time and assist in the classrooms.

Picking up and signing out: Parents are expected to sign their child in and out at the reception counter each day. They should also notify the office if someone other than themselves will pick up their child. I.D.’s will be checked.

Drop Off Time: Remember to bring our child to school no later than 9:30 am.

Illness: According to H.R.S. rules and regulations handbook, a child who exhibits any symptoms of a communicable disease shall be “placed in an isolation area, reported to parents and removed as soon as possible.” These symptoms include but are not limited to: diarrhea (more than one abnormally loose stool), temperature of 101 degrees or more, conjunctivitis (pink eye), pediculosis (head lice), or any other sign of illness. Children are required to remain out of school for the next day unless your doctor sends a fax or note stating that your child is not contagious and therefore able to return to preschool.
